About
Us

Scort is an operational foundation based in Switzerland. Since 2007, we have been harnessing the power of sports to improve the lives of vulnerable young people and communities around the world.

In our approach, collective effort is crucial. Thus, we are uniting partner organisations to jointly shape the sport for development movement, implement projects, and advocate for sports in the following key areas:

  • Peacebuilding and education in forced displacement and crisis regions
  • Inclusion and education for people with disabilities
  • Child protection in sports

Team

Our team is comprised of experts in sport, economic and social sciences, as well as politics and evaluation. We design and manage all projects, develop concepts, and raise funds. Additionally, we use our expertise to raise awareness and encourage the exchange of ideas in the field of sport for development.

Partners

Partnerships have been at the heart of Scort’s mission since the development of the Football Club Social Alliance (FCSA) in 2007. Through close collaboration with UN Agencies, local and international organisations, NGOs and government bodies, Scort builds a dynamic network, enhancing its impact by leveraging diverse expertise and resources. These partnerships enable us to collectively address social challenges and contribute to peacebuilding efforts.

Global partnerships

UNHCR’s partnership with Scort Foundation has demonstrated how sport and humanitarian organisations can work seamlessly together to achieve mutual goals. The young coach programme delivered by the Football Club Social Alliance provides opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged young people in the world to enhance their skills as football coaches and community leaders, at the same time integrating a deeper understanding of humanitarian action that promotes inclusion, social cohesion and health and wellbeing.
